Balloons for Bode

These loving parents welcomed a perfect baby boy to their family on the date of their wedding anniversary. Though their journey was not an easy one. This Momma suffered from PPROM, her water broke before she was even half way through her pregnancy. They were given several options, one of which was to "Terminate" the pregnancy. They knew that there was still hope for him and held  on to the fact that he deserved for them to try. They managed to fight together for another 5 lengthy weeks before delivering him at a fragile 24 weeks gestation. Just long enough for the doctors to say that there was any chance of him possibly surviving. Bode was a tiny 1lb 6oz when he took his first breath. The precious time his family got to spend with him was not nearly enough. Bode fought his hardest and was able to spend 14 priceless hours in the arms of his family before returning to the arms of his heavenly Father. The wonderful organization Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep was able to capture some invaluable moments at the hospital for them. We wanted them to have some family pictures without the hospital garb to remember him by. Just like all other angel babies out there, Bode is and always will be a part of their family and they would like to spread the word of hope for other families struggling with this and similar complications.
